09-26-10, Sunday, day #11 Protocol

Seeing some good progress....Thank GOD! This is definitely not the easiest thing I've ever done! Especially here on the weekends.
I didn't sleep well last night so I'm feeling extremely unproductive. I usually fix that feeling with a couple of beers. Can't do that now....it might mess up my progress!
I'm on day #11 and have lost 8 lbs. That's simply amazing to me!
Not training today since I didn't sleep right.
I did back squats yesterday. I only got 120# for 5 reps.

Food Log for today:

3 egg whites
Bowl of steamed spinach with garlic and shallots
1 apple
4 strawberries

Getting ready to go to the Vacaville Outlet Mall with my husband. Its only 9:30am and I've eaten both of my fruit portions. Maybe I'll drink some tea to help me feel full.
I'm looking forward to getting down to around 130#. I haven't been there in years. Well see! my weight was 137# when David and I got married in 2007.
I plan to check in later and see how I hold up the rest of the day!

Day 4 - -VLCD

09-19-10

TRAINING:
Deadlifts, 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 5..... Max set today was 165#. it was challenging. David coached me through it!
Metcon: 12-9-6-3
55# overhead squat
Lunges w/25# plate
Sit-ups
Treadmill walk for 25 minutes on 10% incline at 3.5 speed.

FOOD:
Protein powder, (1) scoop pre-workout
3 egg whites (no yolks)
Post workout:
Strawberries
Grass fed burger, romaine salad, tomato, red onion, balsamic vinegar
Dinner:
Grilled Cajun chicken, asparagus, strawberries, 1/2 apple

Movies with david!
Another day with no beer or wine! I hope I see results pretty quick because it will help me stay committed. I love me a good cold beer when I get home but I have refrained and plan to continue this until the 40 days are up!
I'm really looking forward to getting some pr's in the gym!

Journal of food during 40 day protocol!

09--18-10, Saturday

Breakfast@ 8:30am....(1) scoop protein powder (130 calories)....drank shake preworkout (8:30)
Workout: double under practice, stretch, strict press (68# X 2), Row 500 meters X 4 (2 minute rest between each set.) fastest row today was 2:08. I'd like to get that under two minutes!

Lunch: 5.7 oz. Kale, balsamic vinegar, chopped fresh Ginger, salt, pepper, 3.5 oz. Grass fed ground beef.....ate lunch around 11:00.....strawberries.

Snack: peppermint tea, lemon, stevia

Dinner:

Day #3- ........Day #1 VLCD

It's Saturday morning....not such a great workout. We had Mexican for the last blow out.Had ice cream too! It was good going down but it affected my sleep.

VLCD Day #2, 09-17-10

It's 8:00 on Friday night..David is already asleep. Well, I made it through day number 2 without a beer or wine....miracles do happen! Very excited about this change coming for me! I weighed in this morning at 142.6. Not too bad but 130 would be ideal!

Starting with the "very low calorie" regime tomorrow. I am ready for change. I want to put up some big numbers and pr in the gym!I totally need a pr consistently. I feel like I've been half as sing everything up to this point. UGH! What's it gonna take?

David is doing this with me! Yay!

Mom is coming to visit in October....I'm hoping to stay true to myself and not give my power away!I'm visualizing a nice peaceful, pleasant experience with her!
